Lionel Osmin & Cie Apothicaire de l'Armagnac is the result of careful winemaking partnership between négociant Lionel Osmin & Cie and contract growers in South-West France. Founded in 2010, the house has built a strong reputation for crafting quality wines in this region.
Part of their Apothicaire series which is showcased in the unique bottle shape. Aiming to highlight the original Armagnac varieties, of which there are 10. Made with the Folle Blanche variety which is also known as Picpoule.
The nose has nuances of prunes, dried fruit and bread. The fruit elements on the nose are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity-balsamic nuances. On the palate it opens up to reveal a vibrant, fruity and balanced style. This silky spirit is powerful and complex on the palate.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
