Lionel Osmin & Cie Cahors Malbec 2020 is the result of careful winemaking partnership between négociant Lionel Osmin & Cie and contract growers in South-West France. Founded in 2010, the house has built a strong reputation for crafting quality wines in this region.
Made with the grape variety Tannat, originally from Basque region in Spain they produce powerful rustic reds that are dense and juicy. Concentrated on the nose with liquorice, cinnamon and clove. The oak influence comes through with toast and wood smoke. Full-bodied on the palate with sun-dried black fruits, plum and firm tannin. Subtle wood smoke and cedar on the finish.
Produced with zero sulphites.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
