A historic Napa Valley started by the eponymous Louis M Martini in 1922, an immigrant from Genoa who applied his studies in winemaking in Italy to his Napa Valley vineyards.
First produced in 1968, Lot No. 1 Cabernet Sauvignon is the iconic wine of the estate, showcasing top blocks from esteemed Napa Valley vineyards and executed with the highest attention to detail at every step of the winemaking process including 18 months ageing in the highest quality French oak barrels.
The 2016 vintage is complex – layers of black raspberry and macerated black cherry, blueberry and juicy blackcurrant on a wave of dark fruit tones. The plush, full-bodied mouthfeel reveals hints of cedar, cloves and coffee on a red carpet of velvety tannins.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
