Madam Flock is the project of two friends, Rob and Derek, an American and a Canadian who met in Barossa Valley during a harvest in 2016. They have two vineyards located in Lehmen village, in the Mosel region of Germany.
The Mad Dog Warwick fruit comes from one single terrace of 30-80 year old Riesling vines. The favourable aspect and cooling winds of this vineyard allow a long ripening period, without the threat of Botrytized fruit. They produce a bone dry Riesling with apple and baked spice. A concentrated wine with precise structure, good weight and a refreshing lemony acidity.
Madam Flock are in the process of organic conversion and their wines are made with minimal intervention; they are low in sulphur, unfined and unfiltered.
