The blend is 70% Garnatxa and 30% Carignan grapes from the La Mallola area of Priorat. Situated at 650 metres of altitude, it is south oriented and has very particular grey and red slate soil. This complex terroir lends flavour complexity to the wine, which is deep and dark with aromas of berry, cherry and mineral expression. Firm grippy tannins with toasty flavours of mocha from the 15months spent in french oak barrels. The wine is produced with the guidance of biodynamic principals.
Works with game birds such as Pigeon, grilled beef and flavourful mushroom dishes.
