Matias, a young and enthusiastic winemaker, represents the third generation of a family wine business established by Lebanese immigrants in 1950. They acquired vineyards originally planted by Italians nearly 70 years prior. The Morcos family, like their neighbours, focused solely on producing "bulk" wine for over six decades until Matias took the reins and embarked on a new direction.

Driven by a personal mission, Matias Morcos is steering the family business away from bulk wine production and harnessing the untapped potential of their valuable resources: ancient, pergola-trained vines with a captivating story to tell. He is diligently restoring a century-old winery, renovating and repurposing old concrete tanks for small-batch production, resulting in wines that possess irresistible character and unique expression. Additionally, Matias extends an open invitation to his neighbours, welcoming them to join his progressive movement.

This wine predominantly features old, pergola-trained Criolla Chica vines, a grape variety also known as Listan Prieto, originating from the Canary Islands and brought to the Americas 600 years ago.
