In 1997 Bruno Lorenzon took over his family owned estate assisted by his sister, Carline, Bruno runs this Mercurey Domaine with precision and passion. Following in his father footsteps, Bruno slowly grew the domaine from its original size by carefully acquiring top parcels in Mercurey. Today, he looks after 9 hectares of vines, mostly located in 1er Cru appellations: 6 hectares in the Mercurey appellation and 3 hectares in the Montagny appellation. The vineyards are planted in approximately 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay.
These wines are pure and elegant, showing intriguing finesse and the subtle characteristic of their specific terroir. Easily standing shoulder to shoulder with the best in the region.
Ripe apple on the nose with floral accents. Similar flavours continue on the palate with slightly sweet spice and good weight. A charming wine that displays restraint and very good balance.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
