Domaine Tessier is a family-owned estate in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, focusing on organic and biodynamic practices. The estate is known for producing wines that express the terroir of the region, with a particular emphasis on Chardonnay in Meursault. The "Les Casse-Têtes" vineyard, a lieu-dit in Meursault, is renowned for its rich, complex soils that give the wines distinctive depth and minerality.
The 2018 Meursault "Les Casse-Têtes" is a beautifully textured white Burgundy. The wine opens with aromas of ripe orchard fruits, such as apple and pear, alongside floral notes of white blossom and hints of buttery richness. On the palate, it is full-bodied and round, with a creamy mouthfeel balanced by a vibrant acidity. There are layers of toasted almonds, a touch of spice, and a mineral backbone that adds finesse. The finish is long and persistent, showcasing the depth and complexity typical of Meursault.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
