Area: Mclaren Vale.
Grape: 65% Shiraz. 35% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Fantastic super saturated black crimson colour with very deep black crimson hue showing almost paint like cling to the walls of the glass. The nose presents an intense sniff of ripe blackberry, liquorice and blackcurrant followed by some toasty vanilla and spice notes. Dense and packed with voluptuous ripe fruit the palate delivers concentrated flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and cassis with a toasty overlay. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of blackberry, black cherry, liquorice and spicy toasted oak.
