With a name that translates literally as ‘cast out the devils’, the Scacciadiavoli winery owes its eerie title to an exorcist who lived in the village by the vineyard during the 19th century.
Montefalco Rosso Scacciadiavoli 2019 from the Pambuffeti family is a unique Italian wine produced in Umbria’s Perugia region. Aromatic Sangiovese, Merlot and Sagrantino grapes are grown on 32 hectares of clay and sand soils, located in the heart of Montefalco. The estate's modern winery follows a carefully-crafted four-storey system, leading to an excellent expression of the region's terroir.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
