This wine comes from the small region of Lugana which sits between Lombardy and Veneto, at the Southern tip of Lake Garda. The Turbiana grape (or Trebbiano di Lugana) used in the making of this wine is more commonly known elsewhere as Verdicchio.
The Guyot-trained vines grow in sandy-clay soils. The Fruit is hand-harvested then cooled, gently crushed and left to soak for 10 hours. Fermented at 15° Celsius in stainless steel and left to rest on the lees for 6 months with occasional batonnage.
Fragrant aromas of white flower, tropical fruit and wild crushed herbs. The palate is bright and delicate, with gently honeyed notes and characters of honeydew melon, peach and grapefruit. Fresh, zesty acidity and subtle almond hints on the finish.
Perfect with seafood antipasti
