Edouard Brun Cuvée Speciale Brut NV (France) - £32.95 - Edouard Brun is a small, family-owned Champagne House in the revered Grand Cru village of Aÿ, founded in 1898. The surprising richness and depth of the Cuvée Speciale comes from the fact that it was partially fermented in old oak. The addition of the Pinot Noir gives the wine elegance and red fruit intensity, whereas the Pinot Meunier adds expressive, lively aromatics and interest to the blend.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
