Grape VarietiesTinta Roriz, Touriga Franca & others
Vertente uses the younger vineyards (25 years old) of Quinta de Nápoles, on the slopes of the river Tedo, where Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela are predominant. Some older vines (60 years plus), bringing Tinta Roriz and others, contribute to the elegance of this wine, while the younger vines give it youth. Despite being made to be consumed young, it does has great ageing potential.
The 2015 vintage, celebrated their 175 year anniversary, Niepoort collaborated with London-based artist Louis Masai to produce a special edition Vertente 'BEE' label.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
