This is a superb seaside Sauvignon Blanc from a talented winemaker in South Africa. Fresh and zesty with grassy and dry bay leaf aromatics. This is an easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc with a palate that has lots of minerality and citrus with just a touch of green pepper and grass.

Jurancon flies under the radar compared to France's more famous white wines, but this excellent wine made from the local Gros Manseng grape has bags of flavour and character that belie its modest pricetag. Honeyed peach and apple fruit is backed up by refreshing acidity in this medium-bodied white.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
