For the last 200 years the estate has been owned by the Brini Batacchi family.The Ormanni property covers an area of 242 ha of land, 68 of which are vineyards dedicated principally to the cultivation of Sangiovese.
The perfect Tuscan wine - The transformation begins in stainless steel tanks, where fermentation occurs over 10-12 days, meticulously controlled at a temperature of 27-28°C. Situated in the municipal district of Barberino Val d'Elsa, Ormanni's Chianti Classico vineyards yield the Sangiovese grapes that define this classic Chianti. A limited edition of 60,000 bottles are produced.
Boasting a ruby-red hue and an intense fragrance and a tasteful equilibrium that is both gentle and balanced with wild cherry, tobacco, menthol and liquorice. This traditional Chianti marries elegance, fruity notes, and exceptional drinkability. It finds its perfect pairing with cured meats, pasta adorned with rich gravies, stewed and grilled meats, and the delightful assortment of Tuscan cheeses.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
