This is a great rose - perfect for summer quaffing.
Piquepoul means ‘hen pecked’ referring to the grapes that hens love eating on the vineyard ground. Although only 250 acres of this rare grape remain, Piquepoul Noir has been grown in Southern France for centuries. It is originally from the Languedoc and is also one of the 13 grapes permitted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
It's pale pink in colour, with bright citrus and berry fruit aromas. Light bodied and clean with refreshing acidity. Easy drinking and great with or without food.
