A one of a kind Amaretto from Pleasant Land Distillery located in the Kent countryside. They are a family business built on the principles of authenticity and quality, and they take great pride in being the first sustainable contract distillery in the UK. They have created their own unique processes which reduce the impact on the environment to almost zero. They are a carbon-neutral business as of 2022, and are able to offer clients carbon offsetting on site.They utilise a circular system, reducing water consumption and waste production by 90%, and all power is produced using 100% renewable sources.
A first for any producer in the UK, this is a 100% natural Amaretto made from Kent grown apricot stones (bitter almonds) grain spirit, and hand-made caramel. Because they have used fresh bitter almonds with a little of the apricot fruit still attached, this has a wonderful balance of sweetness, delicious marzipan flavour and a little zing of fresh ripe apricot. Absolutely delicious! Bottled in recycled ‘apothecary style’ brown glass with a recycled (and recyclable) PET closure.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
