Porto Messias Vintage Port 2005

The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of Messias family. They continue to produce and sell high quality wines from Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. 

2005 was a year of severe drought but the harvesting conditions could not have been better! The handful of outright declarations were predominantly powerful, concentrated single-quinta wines. 

The Messias Vintage Port 2005 was matured in oak barrels, in the warehouses of Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto and then bottled between the second and third year.

Deep red colour, with aromas of ripe red fruits, nuances of blackberries and tobacco leaves. In the mouth has an intense flavor and soft tannins with a long aftertaste.
