Produttori del Gavi a 50 year old co-operative that has over 100 members and 150 hectares of vines. This is the perfect example of a co-operative that focuses on small farmers with high quality of fruit.
Gavi is a small commune south of Piedmont towards the coast in Northern Italy. This Gavi is a very fine example of this style of wine, it is grown on a white soil called tuff and has a great minerality and is fresh and elegant.
The Mille 951 refers to the year the cellar was founded. It's full of floral notes, ripe peaches, flavours that can only be achieved by top quality fruit.
It's full in flavour but the high acidity keeps it fresh and a great food pairing option. It would be ideal with salads and light summery dishes or an antipasti platter.
