Mendoza isn’t all about Malbec! We’re delighted to be selling this succulent Chardonnay from the Pulenta family, who’ve been involved in Argentinean wine for four generations. We love their philosophy, which sees making wine as “an act of generosity, always considering the one who will taste it”.
This is definitely a generous wine, packed with intense fruit flavours but beautifully balanced. The fruit comes from quasi-organic vineyards in the Alto Agrelo region, which sit just under 1000m above sea level in the shadow of the Andes. That altitude contributes a good shard of acidity to offset the juicy melon, peach and tropical fruit flavours. A few months in new French oak add some lovely toasted almond and honey layers. Basically, everything you need to accompany a Sunday roast chicken.
