This is 100% Grenache, made by the cooperative Cave de l'Abbe Rous in Banyuls. The wines are aged in glass jugs and barrels for many years, and allow the wine to oxidise. This is a very complex wine, similar to an amontillado, it gives the impression it is going to be sweet but finishes dry. This is a very interesting wine.
It is said to be the perfect match the famous anchovies of Collioure.
