Introducing the new vintage of Rathfinny's signature Sussex Sparkler.
2016 is the second release of this instantly iconic English fizz and already gaining rave reviews. Will Lyons in The Sunday Times called it "decadent and world class". We think that's about right.
The blend is very heavy on the Pinot Noir: 93% to just 7% Pinot Meunier. But that 7% does some important work uplifting the fruitiness, tweaking the balance of this rose-gold wine beautifully. 36 months on lees adds a delicate leesy tang to the baked apple, cherry and damson core.
There is plenty of depth and weight on show here - enough to pair the 2016 with duck, venison or even sticky, spicy Vietnamese pork dishes.
