This is classic Sancerre, grapefruit leaps out the glass with fresh herbs and fleshy pear coming through. The palate is vibrant but carries weight and concentration, a streak of minerality runs through ripe stone fruits and that same herbaceous note from the nose. This is a textbook match for good quality goats cheese, a delicious pairing.
Very delicate, this local hero comes from just over the hill at Albourne Estate. Bright acidity and a floral palate of elderflower and citrus peel make this a wonderful match for raw seafood, think sushi or a ceviche.
