Groote Post Seasalter is a wonderfully expressive wine from the Darling Valley. Cool breezes come in from the Atlantic Ocean, just 10 miles from the vineyards. The Seasalter name, no doubt, is inspired by this coastal climate and resulting saline minerality found in the wine.
A blend comprising of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon: 30% of the Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged for 8 months in 300 litre French Oak barrels, whist the remaining components are fermented in stainless steel tanks and left on the fine lees.
Aromas of bell pepper and granny smith apples. On the palate, juicy lime, citrus fruits and green apple, herbaceous hints and a touch of oak. A well balanced wine with a mineral backbone and a full and long finish.
