The wine is made by Cantina Europa, established in the early 1960s, it operates as a successful cooperative. They have been pioneers in organic farming in the area for many years. This wine comes from their Sibiliana range, which are their organic wines. Alongside their specialism in Nero D'Avola for the reds, they mainly focus on the indigenous Grillo grape for the white wines.
The vines for this particular wine are located on the slopes to the west of Sicily. The grapes get plenty of sunshine hours to maximise ripeness, but the high altitude and fresh sea breeze prevents the wine from being over ripe and heavy. It is aromatic, with floral and citrus notes, the zesty fruits come through on the palate keeping this wine uplifted and clean. It's unoaked, and made in steel to keep it nice and bright.
