Discover a limited edition, extraordinary dry Mosel Riesling that breaks the boundaries of tradition. This unique wine is the result of an ambitious 3-year barrel aging experiment, offering a fresh and captivating experience like no other.
Cultivated on the east-facing slopes of Falklay, Reil, Germany, this Riesling is farmed using organic practices. The grapes are predominantly Riesling (98.5% from 2019) with a delicate addition of 1.5% Pinot Blanc (2022).
The Falklay vineyard boasts red slate soil with a rich iron content, nurturing 25 to 60-year-old vines and fostering high biological diversity under the canopy. The winemaking process involves meticulous hand harvesting and whole bunch pressing. The juice naturally settles overnight before undergoing spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel. The wine then matures for an impressive 3 years in 500L neutral oak barrels from renowned cooperages, Stockinger & Seguin Moreau.
Produced at the prestigious Weingut Arns estate, this dry Mosel Riesling is a testament to organic viticulture and innovative techniques like the Simonit et Sirch soft pruning method. The result is an extraordinary wine that reflects the region's unique terroir and winemaking craftsmanship.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
