This wine is sourced from a pocket of farms known as the Golden Triangle, an area known for its noble grape varieties and specifically Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are planted in the warmer, lower slopes of the mountainous estate and grow on cumulic soils which gives a true expression of the terroir making one of the finest wines in the New World.
Matured for 18 months in French oak and 50% new barrels this particular vintage gives bold aromas of red cherry, tobacco and finishes with a floral perfume note. On the palate it is the perfect example of sophistication meets finesse.
Juicy red cherry and ripe plum with pencil shavings gives the wine just a bit more depth of flavour and complexity. Silky smooth and chalky tannins really bring out the character finishing off with a dry, lingering sensation.
