Why aren’t all wines vegan?
The reason not all wines are vegan friendly is to do with how a wine is clarified, a process called ‘fining’. A lot of fining agents are derived from animal products like milk, egg and even fish. Thankfully there are many alternative to these products and here at Butlers we have a massive selection of Vegan wine!

Mas Macia Gran Reserva Brut Nature NV (Penedes, Spain)
Think you know Cava? Try this! Delicate, fresh and beautifully complex. It’s matured for two years in the bottle before release, giving notes of toasted brioche, that are supported by baked apple, stone fruit and a mineral acidity.
Falerio, Saladini Pilastri 2018 (Marche, Italy)
From the Marche region on the east coast of central Italy – this wine is a blend of native varieties Pecorino / Trebbiano that have combined to form a seriously refreshing wine with gentle chamomile and acacia flavours and appley acidity.
La Fleur Solitaire Cotes du Rhone Boutinot 2017 (Rhone, France)
A classic white Rhône! Grenache Blanc blended with Viognier and Roussanne. Full of peach stone fruit and white flowers, a little time in large French oak barrels adds to its rich texture and body.
Les Pivoines, Beaujolais Villages, 2017 (Beaujolais, France)
Juicy, fresh and really easy drinking - just what you want from Beaujolais Villages. Juicy crushed strawberries, cherry characters and an intriguing savoury twist. You could easily serve this lightly chilled.
Maias Organic Tinto 2015 (Dao, Portugal)
We love this blended Portuguese red that’s lead by the Iberian grape Jaen (Mencia in Spain). High altitude vineyards keep the wine lean, crisp and fresh, an easy-drinking gem with crunchy black fruit, soft tannins and a long, rich finish.
Nieto Senetiner Malbec 2017 (Mendoza, Argentina)
A dense, powerful red with great concentration of juicy berry fruit with notes of sweet spice. Complex flavours of plums, figs, and dried fruit with a smoky vanilla character.
