Luciano Saetti founded this family estate in Lambrusco, in 1998. They have 2.8 hectares of vines in the Santa Croce appellation in the province of Modena. Although the family business was started fairly recently, the vineyards were actually planted in 1964. The vineyards have been transformed by the Saetti family and are now certified organic. Due to ongoing strict selection fruit in the vineyard and each harvest, they are now able to make wine with no added sulphur. The quantities made are tiny, and delicious. It is a lightly sparkling red, with the second fermentation happening naturally in the bottle, it has six months on the lees to add character and texture. The wine has lovely aromatic red fruit flavours and floral violet aromas with soft creamy bubbles. This would be lovely with antipasti or pieces of Parmiggiano.
