Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm is a prominent German vine grower and wine producer. Located in Bernkastel-Wehlen, the winery got founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm. It receives the blessings of the wine-growing area of Mosel in Germany. The region comes with superior quality slopes that support the growth and development of the grapevines. For generations, the motto at Prüm has been: "We leave the composition of the wine to nature, because nature can do it much better than any cellar technology, no matter how modern!"
This is another stellar example of the vintage. The aromas have beautiful potential in its blend of pear, apple, lime zest, slate minerality and a floral top note of iris blossoms and violets. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and zesty, great focus and grip, bright acids and a long, complex and very promising finish. This will need a bit of bottle age to blossom.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
