The Burgenland is a large region in eastern Austria, dominated by clay soil, and where red grape varieties thrive. This wine is made from 100% Zweigelt, aged for 18 months in steel and large oak barrels. It has a deep nose of dark cherry and chocolate aromas. It has bright, juicy, crunchy fruit on the palate with soft tannins. This can be slightly chilled.
