The Leeu Passant Estate in Stellenbosch was started in 2013 in collaboration with wine makers Chris and Andrea Mullineux. This Chardonnay comes from a single vineyard planted on the higher loam-based slopes of Helderberg Mountain. Fermentation took place naturally in oak Barrels, it then was left for 12 months on its lees to allow malolactic fermentation to happen. The result is a powerful Chardonnay that expresses its time spent in oak. Lemon custard on the nose with zesty mineral finish.
