Champagne Tasting - the village of Ay
DATE: Friday, April 13, 2012
TIME: 20:15
PRICE: £40.00

VENUE: 88 St George's Road
Great, we have a Champagne tasting, even greater we will only focus on the Pinot dominated region of Ay, where Bollinger comes from, only we won't bother with Bollinger. We will taste and compare the wines from Jacquesson, Edouard Brun and Roger Pouillon, we will try non vintage, vintage and special cuvee's. This should be a great evening.

Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo
DATE: Friday, April 27, 2012
TIME: 20:15
PRICE: £40.00

VENUE: 88 St George's Road
The Nebbiolo grape has often been compared to Pinot noir from Burgundy, so we thought we ought to try them out. We will try a range of Nebbiolo based wines from Piedmont, against Pinot noir from Burgundy, this should be a fascinating tasting. There will be some serious wines on this tasting. Red wines only, with a cheese board from Bramptons.

Rare Ridgeview Sparkling Wines
DATE: Friday, February 10, 2012
TIME: 19:30
PRICE: £25.00

VENUE: 247 Queen's Park Road
We have worked closely for many years with Ridgeview, the sparkling wine producer from Ditchling. We are very pleased to announce, they have bottled up some museum stock especially for us, so we will be able to show a range of wines dating back to 2000, as well as the current vintage. This will hopefully show the benefits of showing some patience and cellaring English sparkling wine.

Eastern European Wines
DATE: Friday, March 09, 2012
TIME: 19:30
PRICE: £21.00

VENUE: 247 Queen's Park Road
This will be a very interesting tasting, including new wines from Hungary (whites and reds, not just sweet), Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia, and others. There are some cracking little wines on this tasting, perhaps bottles which go unnoticed sometimes in the shop. The grape varieties may not be familiar, but the wines are good.
