Kent Single Varietal Victoria Plum Eau de Vie

A stunning Eau de Vie from Pleasant Land Distillery located in the Kent countryside. They are a family business built on the principles of authenticity and quality, and they take great pride in being the first sustainable contract distillery in the UK. They have created their own unique processes which reduce the impact on the environment to almost zero. They are a carbon-neutral business as of 2022, and are able to offer clients carbon offsetting on site.They utilise a circular system, reducing water consumption and waste production by 90%, and all power is produced using 100% renewable sources.

Made with parcels of individual fruits from growers to create a unique range of single varietal, high-quality eau de vie. The fruit had been destined for supermarkets and farmers markets but was declined due to being too big, too small or, in one bizarre case, too pink, so the distillers purchased the fruit, giving the farmers reason to employ someone to pick it, saving it from being wasted. It was then preserved indefinitely by transforming it into eau de vie. This is an un-aged fruit brandy created to capture the aroma and flavour of Victoria Plum in a pure, concentrated form. It takes 30 to 50Kg of fruit to make one bottle of spirit which is naturally fermented then distilled twice on our small hybrid pot and column still.
