A blend of Alvarinho and Trajadura with a slight fizz. Ripe, aromatic nose but it is bone dry on the palate and finishes very clean. The wines from this northerly sub-region are generally considered to be a little more ripe and complex than the classic Vinho Verde style.
Light yellow, clean and transparent. The nose offers floral aromas of jasmine, as well as herbs, lychee, and honey notes. The floral notes reappear on the palate, along with apple, apricot, and mandarin orange. Presents good volume and the flavorful, persistent finish leaves a sweet and fruity sensation on the palate.
A sweet, white wine with quite intense aromas of honey, flowers and fresh grapes. On the palate the wine reveals further fresh grape and citrus notes. A clean wine with refreshing acidity on the finish to balance the sweetness.
A lovely perfumed nose followed up on the palate with ripe flavours of zesty fruit and a full
long finish. Fresh, clean vibrant wine.
Aromas of ripe berry and plum. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh raspberry and black fruits, supple tannins, and well-balanced acidity.
Intense berry aromas with spice and rich earthy notes. Vibrant plum and red cherry on the palate with savoury hints, grippy tannins, and finely poised acidity.
Aromas of plum, black fruit, mocha and a hint of dark chocolate. Ripe and full-flavoured on the palate with supple tannins, notes of blackberry and wild plum, which follow through to a long and juicy finish.
Goes well with grilled beef or lamb or robust stew. For a veggie alternative try with spinach and lentil casserole.
Sparkling Portugese red, bursting with fruit and vibrancy. Delicious with cured hams, meats and quality bread.
Morello cherry fruit, with touches of cocoa and toasted wood. Deep, rich wine. It is aged for three years in oak, and pairs well to strong hard cheeses.
Vibrant plum and cherry aromas combine with woody, herbal notes. The palate is complex with juicy bramble fruit, black pepper, and lifted, savoury characters.
Drink with casseroles, red meat or manchego cheese.
100% unoaked Viura. Clean, fresh and attractive nose showing hints of ripe peach and pear. Ripe, savoury and an almost creamy palate cut through with a refreshing streak of zesty acidity. Lifted floral and citrus notes on the nose. The palate has orchard fruits, ripe melon.
100% Barbera from Piemonte. Fresh, racy, but mellow, aged in steel not in oak.
Good to see a Barolo with a little bit of age. This falls into the camp of floral nose and red fruits, rather than mocha and coffee. Medium finish with savoury tannins.
