Located in the world-renowned Oakville AVA, in the heart of the Napa Valley, this vineyard counts Peter Michael Winery’s ‘Au Paradis’ vineyard, Dalla Valle, Screaming Eagle, To Kalon vineyard and Harlan Estate amongst its neighbours. The To Kalon Creek runs through the property, and the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines benefit from the gravelly and loamy Bale soil derived from an alluvial fan in this warm yet temperate climate. A 75:25 blend of Cab Sauv and Cab Franc, 16months in artisan French Oak brings together the many flavour components to create an elegant, harmonious wine that will continue to age for decades. An Intense and complex bouquet of red, black and blueberries intermixed with notes of cassis, Quesch plum, blond tobacco and a hint of black pepper. Full-bodied, the palate is reminiscent of the nose, with a creamy texture, richness, powerful mid-palate and beautiful depth. The silky tannins and complex aromas create a harmonious ensemble, leading to a very long and smooth finish.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
