Despite the bureaucratic requirement to label this red as a modest 'Anjou Rouge,' this regulatory technicality provides Vanessa with the freedom to create the wine exactly as she envisions, free from the constraints of appellation restrictions — a triumph in itself.
This organic and biodynamic Cabernet Sauvignon/Franc blend exudes a 'classic' aura, prompting metaphors such as 'immaculately-tailored' and 'elegantly contoured.' A sumptuously vibrant red, characterized by silky tannins and a cool, graphite backbone, with violet-inflected cassis fruit this wine proudly stands at 13% alcohol content. Comprising 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, and intentionally devoid of oak influence, it is a testament to Vanessa Cherruau's skill in crafting a wine that transcends categorization, offering a unique and delightful experience.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
