"El Plano Alto" stands as a testament to high-altitude viticulture, where a meticulously tended vineyard, cultivated organically, thrives with 50 to 85-year-old, low-yielding vines. This vineyard is the heart of Libre y Salvaje (Free and Wild), a visionary undertaking by José Ignacio Marín, a distinguished winemaker hailing from Cariñena, Spain. Marín's passion is evident in the project's mission: to revive high-altitude vineyards adorned with ancient vines of indigenous grape varieties while restoring a venerable winery. Remarkably situated atop ancient caves, the winery provides an ideal setting for the natural aging of wine.

A spirited Carinena unfolds with vibrant plums, sweet cherries, citrus, and spiced berries. This wine exudes fruit-forward intensity, coupled with a wild edge on the juicy, medium-to-full-bodied palate. The freshness and resolution of the tannins contribute to a racy, berry-centric finish of excellent length.
