For the last 200 years the estate has been owned by the Brini Batacchi family. The Ormanni property covers an area of 242 ha of land, 68 of which are vineyards dedicated principally to the cultivation of Sangiovese, entirely organic.
The Chianti, from vineyards in the town of Poggibonsi, is 95% Sangiovese with 5% Merlot. It is a deliciously fresh and youthful wine with vibrant red cherry and strawberry fruit. Subtle complexities of white pepper and fresh herbs, alongside bright acidity, make for a superb food wine ideal for tomato sauces and particularly charcuterie.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
