Founded in 2005, the idyllic Bluebell Vineyard sits at the edge of Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. From their carefully tended vines they produce sparkling and still wines under the Hindleap and Ashdown brands respectively.
The 2013 Blanc de Blancs has been disgorged after an impressive 77 months ageing on lees! From their best Chardonnay grapes each year, the Blanc de Blancs has a soft and elegant style, with lemon sherbert, frangipane and floral aromas. On the palate the long ageing has given it a lovely softness, with fine bubbles and well-judged acidity. A delicious aperitif or partner for light fish dishes.

Words can't express the brilliance of Butlers or the thoughtfulness, expertise and compassion of their team! Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
