Since 1995, the Ridgeview family has been producing world-class English sparkling wine in Sussex, focusing on quality and sustainability from grape to glass. Located in a beautiful spot beneath the South Downs Ridge, perfectly positioned to grow the traditional grape varieties used in the world’s finest sparkling wine. Today, they are led by the second generation with a globally acclaimed, award-winning range of English Sparkling Wine.
This 2013 Cavendish is a rich golden colour with exceptionally fine bubbles. The nose is expressive with hints of red fruits. The Pinot dominance brings depth and complexity to the palate with a long-lasting finish, whilst the Chardonnay adds finesse and freshness.
The richness of the palate and the good acidity make Cavendish a great food wine. A wonderful accompaniment to seafood or canapes featuring duck or beetroot.
Please note, this wine has been aged under cork for several years in our cellar, it will have a different flavour profile to the current release. They may display a deeper colour and more savoury characteristics. It is rare to find English sparkling wines with this age, they are sold as seen, as they are irreplaceable.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
