Cabernet Franc from vineyards around the medieval city of Carcassonne in Southwest France. It tastes somewhere between a Right Bank Bordeaux and the Cabernet Francs of Chinon and Bourgueil in the Loire Valley and is mouthwateringly delicious.
The nose shows notes of blackcurrant, wild cherry and fresh green herbs with liquorice and spice hints. It is a soft medium-bodied palate with lovely plummy fruit and juicy acidity making this a superb food wine. Ideal for earthy dishes of beans or mushrooms, or with some good sausages.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
