This range shows a beautifully drawn circle of bees, the perfect metaphor, they say, for this community of eighteen farmers (lavradores), with family-owned vineyards throughout the Douro.
Made with white grape varieties; Malvasia Bianca and Viosinho, this wine presents a delightful medley of citrus and green fruit notes that effortlessly blend with tropical elements such as melon and peach. Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
