Ardnamurchan is one of a collection of five West Highland peninsulas. It is home to Ardnamurchan Distillery, one of the most prestigious and environmentally sustainable distilleries in Scotland.
Ardnamurchan produces both peated and unpeated whisky, made with barley grown on the estate of one of the distillery owners.
This is one of their peatiest expressions, with a 90/10 split of peated/unpeated whisky. Combined with the undiluted cask strength it makes for a powerful and hearty dram!
Woodsmoke, orange peel and peppery aromas. Full-bodied and long-lasting flavour with a brilliantly warming finish, notes of vanilla, seaweed and baked apple alongside the ever-present peatsmoke.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
