Baron de Sigognac are a vineyard-to-bottle Armagnac producer since the 12th century, using traditional methods to produce refined high-quality brandy. Ugni Blanc grapes are fermented to a base wine before distillation and a minimum of 3 years ageing in Troncay oak barrels for this VS Bas-Armagnac.
Rich dried fruits, apricot and quince jam with subtle vanilla spice aromas on the nose. Rich on the palate with creamy oakiness and a delightfully smooth finish.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
