Basics Three: White Wine Tour de France
19:15 to 20:30 on Friday July 12th in our shop at 88 St George’s Road, Brighton BN2 1EE
Our new Basics tastings are all about demystifying wine and sharing knowledge in a friendly and informal way, with a different theme or concept each month.
While the cyclists explore France from the saddle, we will be doing it from our wine glasses! And to match the July heat we will be focussing on the country’s brilliant white wines. Many of the world’s favourite white grape varieties originate in France and we will be trying five wines from around the country to discover the differences between some of its iconic regions.
Don’t worry if you know nothing about wine or wine tasting, these events are intended to be completely beginner-friendly and I love answering all of your questions about anything wine-related!

Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
