Ch. Leoville Las Cases is one of the largest and oldest Classed Growths in the Medoc. It is a second growth, based in the northern tip of St Julien, which abuts the border with Pauillac and Ch. Latour. Typically it is made with a good chunk of Cabernet Sauvignon, topped up with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, resulting in a powerful, elegant wine.
1985 was a great vintage, showing well right from the start, this wine still has plenty of life in it.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome.
