Ch. Pichon Lalande is a 2nd Growth in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux. The make a Cabernet Sauvignon blend, with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, typically aged for a year in oak. It is a Pauillac famous for being elegant and approachable, with soft tannins.
The 1985 was overshadowed by their excellent 1986, however this has plush fruit, it is a generous wine which is very smooth and offers a lot of joy.

Whilst packing up to move internationally a friend died and I needed to organise an emergency case of something luscious to support the wake. Not only did their wonderful team organise and deliver within an incredibly tight deadline they drafted a message for me too which I approved. Wonderful!!

Sourcing Stock
Henry and Team managed to locate some difficult to find American wine which they kindly offered and I gratefully accepted. They truly differentiate by being able to surprise by sourcing stock very much outside the run of the mill.

Great Wine/Spirit shop with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff
This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
