In 2014 Petar Georgiev and Radostin Milkov started their own project. After gaining enough experience in various places around the world including the USA, New Zealand, China, Austria and Malta the two friends began working on the Bulgarian stage bringing in a bunch of fresh ideas.
We've had great success with Bulgarian wines, now it’s time to discover another native grape variety - Mavrud, grown in the south east of Bulgaria this pet nat has a limited release of only 2900 bottles!
This fun, funky pink tinted lightly sparkling wine is full of delicate raspberry and strawberry fruit flavours as well as a strong herbaceous/botanical profile which adds to it’s complexity and development in the bottle as it finishes off its ferment. The left over yeast adds to a bigger mouthfeel and the classic toastyness found in the likes of champagne and english sparkling.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
