El Berrakin Garnacha Tinto 2022

Nestled high up in the breath-taking Gredos Mountains, Daniel, an Aussie-born winemaker affectionately known as Kapi (El Capitan) to his friends, has discovered a profound connection with the land, utilizing Garnacha and Albillo Real grapes and embracing traditional viticulture practices. With a deep and quiet enthusiasm for the land's diverse terroirs, Daniel crafts wines that honour the region's natural treasures. In the pursuit of authentic expressions, he employs minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the grape vines to weave a tapestry of flavours, revealing a raw depth in his wines. 

A slightly different take on Garnacha. Perhaps a more modern approach, as it's completely naturally produced in stainless steel. The wine is a little more focused on pure, berry fruit, with a light extraction. A natural fermentation and very light pigeage, combined with natural fresh acidity, leave a very drinkable wine. A little bit of floral and herbal notes, and soft tannin keeps interest on the pallet. Unfiltered.

Designed to be approachable young, and to be enjoyed through the summer, perhaps chilled a little. A very drinkable natural red.
